President John F. Kennedy vs the Newspaper Publishers Association

Researching the John F Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum for the famous President’s (far ahead of his time) speeches. And I came across this interesting speech that almost resonates into today’s events and the one ‘World Order.’
When speaking to the Newspaper Publishers Association, it went like this:

— The President (President John F. Kennedy) and the Press: Address before the American Newspaper Publishers Association, April 27, 1961 —

Speech: … Mr. Chairman, ladies and gentlemen:

I appreciate very much your generous invitation to be here tonight.
You bear heavy responsibilities these days, and an article I read some time ago reminded me of how particularly heavily the burdens of present-day events bear upon your profession. (meaning the press)

I have selected as the title of my remarks tonight.” Some may suggest that this would be more naturally worded “The President Versus the Press.” But those are not my sentiments tonight.
