As global tensions rise and NATO allies modernize their fleets, Canada faces pressure to invest in new submarines and upgrade the military, but I have to ask, is that really the smartest move?
In my opinion, ”I will plead my case to you, the reader, whether spending billions on outdated underwater hardware and thinking makes sense in today’s age of drones, AI warfare, and cyber defence.”

Lisa Kelly from ‘Ice Road Truckers‘ is a prime example of women breaking barriers. Lisa gained a legion of female fans while appearing on the “Ice Road Truckers” series. She also inspired women to get into the trucking industry and keep going in this male-dominated field.

The subject matter for this article is old, but kinda fun and somewhat interesting to the inquisitive mind. In this story, I’ll brush on a few memorable money terms that most people have forgotten or never heard before. Being that I’m a person who prides himself on perfect English (not), I continue to use some of these fun terms today.

The long-used expression is, “Money is the root of all evil,” and that can be interpreted in several ways. The question is: “”” does that saying have any real merit, or is it just a colourful analogy? “””” And if so, then you have to wonder, can money really make people do evil things?

I’ve started a bucket list of places to visit in Canada. Somewhere close to home, and places I’ve never been before. During my research (but not amazement), I discovered there are hundreds of options for interesting day-trippin’ adventures in our area that I’ve not seen.
While reading a newspaper article that mentioned the HMCS ‘Margaret Brooke’, a Canadian Arctic Patrol Ship, was visiting Owen Sound between October 3–5, 2025, I thought, “It’s official, that’s going on my bucket list!”
Continue readingFor most people, the original intent of owning and flying a drone was for ‘recreation, taking some nice photos and just having fun.’ What is your long-term agenda? Is it the same?

This story starts with a family member in Saint John, New Brunswick, who purchased a fairly expensive drone with the intent of ‘recreation and just having fun.’ To his amazement, this part-time flying hobby soon turned into a wanted commodity. ‘But … that wasn’t his original intent!
