Many transportation enthusiasts may be quick to label these vintage farm tractor photos as “barn finds,” however, I’d like to challenge that assumption.
These tractors aren’t forgotten relics in a general sense, that were pulled from some dusty old broken-down shed. These farm tractors are someone’s carefully overhauled pride and joy. They are displayed out front of a nicely groomed property for all the world to see and appreciate all the dedication and hard work poured into restoring these once workable, now retired farm tractors.
‘Myself speaking’, I appreciate and honour hard work because the end product shows dedication in its finest form.

My story begins this way:
For many reasons, I love travelling down old country gravel roads. One example would be that with every breath you take, you’re greeted by that unmistakable farm-country atmosphere and the clean, fresh air smell, and most of all, the aroma only a farm could give. There’s nothing quite like escaping the concrete jungle of city traffic and polluted air to find yourself surrounded by open fields and fresh country air.
That being said, when I get overwhelmed by the city’s fast-paced world, I head down some old country road and right away, you feel an overwhelming sense of calm. The world slows down, worries fade, and new ideas begin to spark, some practical, some inventive, and some simply ‘daydream stories’ for my articles.
But along the way, you often come across treasures that make you stop in your tracks and really appreciate your quiet surroundings, and that’s how I found these green and red farm tractors, proudly arranged in the front yard of this well-kept home.
Of course, tractors aren’t the only finds out in the wild. Sometimes it’s an old fire truck, weathered but dignified, showing its age after 60 years or a vehicle that today’s collectors would call a gem. Other times, it’s a classic 1957 Ford tucked away in a backyard, once shielded from the sun but now sitting exposed to the Canadian elements. Many of these finds, especially those displayed farm tractors, every scratch and speck of rust, carry interesting stories.
But these John Deere green farm tractors in the photos have been displayed with care and attention. That part stood out, and they were worth stopping for and photographing for all to see.
*** For that quiet time, touring the countryside, they were worth admiring and writing about. ***

Final Comment.
The best part, ‘as mentioned,’ these vintage remnants of our past aren’t the only overhauling projects out there to be found. If you are looking for an overhaulen project, you have to take that road to the right, then a sharp left and follow it until you find them. They’re out there, my friends. Some are tucked away in barns, and some are proudly displayed in someone’s driveway. … “like these once farm work-horse tractors.”
